Mothers and More Chapter 156

Mothers & More is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of mothers through support, education and advocacy. We address mothers' needs as individuals and members of society, and promote the value of all the work mothers do.

About the Chester County / Main Line Chapter of Mothers & More:

- We're "for the woman behind the Mom."

- We were founded in 1997 to provide support, friendship, evening and daytime meetings, an intellectual outlet and fun activities for local mothers.

- Our chapter has over 50 members. We're open to all mothers, whether they're at-home, work flexibly, or work part-time or full-time.

- Chapter events offer a great opportunity to connect with a diverse and welcoming group of women.

- As much as you enjoy being a mom, do you wish for occasional focus on the woman inside?

- Are you searching for ways to juggle your career and family life, or missing the stimulation of your previous career?

Chapter activities include:

* Evening program meetings with interesting guest speakers and discussions on topics that matter to you.

* Lively conversation at evening Book Group meetings.

* Moms' Mornings and Nights Out - meet for coffee, walks, dinners, movies, and other social events.

* Moms' Lunches Out at a variety of fun restaurants - you can come with or without your kids.

* Working Moms meet to address balancing work and family. These moms are currently working for pay or thinking about returning to paid work.

* Playdates that give you (and your kids) a chance to socialize.

* Recipe Nights/Potluck Dinners at members' homes and occasional Couples' Nights Out.

* Popular annual Holiday Dinner and Silent Auction in early December. Our major annual chapter fundraiser, it features a 3-course dinner and auction.

* Chapter newsletter and active email chat loop.

* A chance to get involved in volunteer Community Projects.

* National Benefits include newsletters, conferences, members-only website, many discussion e-mail loops, and more.

* Leadership Opportunities at a local or national level - a chance to keep your skills current, acquire new ones, and make a contribution.

We meet the 1st Wednesday of the month at the Upper Main Line YMCA, Room 1, 1416 Berwyn-Paoli Road, Berwyn (except for the summer months).

Most of our members live along the Main Line, between Wayne and Malvern, or in Chester County, between King of Prussia and West Chester.

Guests are welcome to attend two events prior to joining Mothers & More.
